The Greek National Committee for the United World Colleges invites 10th and 11th grade school students to apply to participate in the selection process for a place to study at one of 18 United World Colleges in 2024-2026.
United World Colleges (UWC) are a global educational movement that aim to transform education into a force to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and sustainable future. UWCs enable young people of all social and racial identities and backgrounds to develop international understanding through a program that combines academic life with activities designed to encourage social responsibility and adventure.
At UWC, 16-18 year olds from all over the world, from all social, economic and cultural backgrounds, with partial or full scholarships, live and study together for the last two years of high school. Students are taught in English and receive the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) which is recognized worldwide as an admission qualification to universities all over the world. Today 18 colleges operate on 4 continents offering each year this unique educational experience to over 6,000 students from all countries of the world.
Before you start your application please check if you meet all the formal selection criteria. Applications that do not fulfil them will be automatically rejected and will not be considered by the Selection Board. Applicants whose applications have been positively assessed will participate in a particularly demanding two-stage selection process, consisting of group activities and interviews.
The content and structure of the process reflects the values and principles of the UWC. The aim of the process is to highlight in the best way your character and aspirations, basic logical abilities, as well as your general knowledge and perception of current issues reflected in your actions as an active citizen.
